I am a SSHRC-funded postdoctoral fellow at the Feminist Institute for Social Transformation (FIST) at Carleton University. I was trained in Sociology at the University of Toronto (PhD 2022). I also hold a Master’s degree in Sociology from the Université du Québec à Montréal and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from McGill University.

My research interests are situated at the intersection of social movement studies, the sociology of culture, and gender studies, always with an eye for forms of political involvement that shocase the innovative ways activists maintain visibility, evade obstacles, and revitalize their movements.

My postdoctoral research (supervisor: Ann Cvekovitch) explores what I call unusual archives of activism, that is, non-traditional archives that include materials ranging from collections of books, to meticulously curated personal collections of movement paraphernalia, to artistic productions. Incorporating archival studies into sociological research practice, my new project contributes to social movement studies by enhancing our understanding of movement continuity and deepens sociology’s theoretical toolkit on memory and culture by investigating archives as a site where inequalities are challenged and new ideas about diversity emerge.
